Steve Wallace makes it # 4!!

Wasaga Beach resident, Steve Wallace has thrown his hat, or should I say pilots wings into the ring to be the 4th Candidate seeking the nomination to carry the big blue banner in what will be a spring election.

Wallace is a retired air force major, and he's involved with the local air cadets. He also worked with Re/Max in Wasaga Beach a few years ago as a Real Estate agent.

So just to re-cap we have Dr. Kellie Leitch who caused "Lettergate" with Wasaga Beach Mayor and Warden of Simcoe County, Cal Patterson. She also got into a spat with Amy MacPherson who's also from Wasaga Beach, and runs Wasaga Cares. It's also come to light that Dr. Leitch is in favour of having our medical system to be much like the United States, user pay based system. It seems that Dr. Leitch and Wasaga Beach don't get along...

Then we have former Collingwood Mayor and "Son of Simcoe-Grey", Chris Carrier who decided to seek the nomination because he knew all to well that if he ran for Mayor again in Collingwood he would end up owing the residents of Collingwood votes...Mr. Carrier took the towns debt from 18 million and ran it up to over 50 million in 4 short years and he goes around calling himself a fiscal conservative.

To end off the 4 candidates is Mr. Paul Throop, who used to be the Director of Operations for Defense Minister Peter MacKay. I can't really comment on Mr. Throop as I've not heard much about him except when compared to the rest he would be the best chance for the Conservatives in this riding.

Steve Wallace is holding a meet and greet at the RecPlex on February 19th from 4-7pm, so drop on in, sign up as a member of the conservative party so you can vote at the nomination meeting and elect Chris Carrier as the candidate..LOL

Until next time!

  1. I would agree with you that Chris Carrier is probably the worst Candidate for the PC's

  2. I think Katy Austin is running again for the NDP in Simcoe Grey. I also believe she's running on the Provincial side as well.
