Wasaga Beach Mayor and Warden of Simcoe County was the guest speaker at Breakfest at the Beach last week and was asked a question by local Mortgage Broker, Donna Mullen. The question was "If you were a visitor to Wasaga Beach would you stay at one of our motels". His response was NO, he would stay at the Village at Blue Mountain.
This is the Mayor of Wasaga Beach who's main job is to promote the beach as the place to be, yet he said that he would not stay at any of our motels along the beach area, but would stay 30 minutes away at Blue Mountain. When this was brought to my attention I was shocked that the face and voice of our town would not only stay at one of our motels, but promote another town as the place to stay.
Does Patterson even care about our small business people in Wasaga Beach? He's shown time and time again that all he cares about is himself and his Conservative business buddies that donated to his campaign, and how they rely on the business from the town to survive.
This is shameful for the Mayor to say in public that he would not stay at one of our motels. I'll bet he does not even shop in one of our stores and most likely goes to Collingwood, or maybe stops in for dinner at Blue Mountain.
Finally this is who 18% of voters re-elected to be the face and voice of our town. Maybe we should have a re-call system in place to get jokers like him booted from office.
Keep up the great work in promoting others towns in Simcoe and not your own.

You need to get a life. You do absolutely nothing for the community to make it better, but you have no problem criticizing every single person who gets off their ass and shows up to try to make life better for us. You need to grow up.
