Simcoe Article: Beachfront crackdown
Interesting article surrounding the bankruptcy of the developer along the beachfront, and the fact that the town is still owed a ton of money from the receiver, while the receiver ran the businesses last summer and made a ton of money above and beyond the expenses. Kudos to Stan Wells for being pissed off about this issue as it's been going on for nearly a year. The town should have acted at the end of the summer last year and not a month before the businesses are scheduled to open again.
Where's Cal Patterson stand on this issue??? Maybe his silence is a result that he was very close with the Levy's when they were in business. If the town was to collect the money that's owed to them they could afford to the request of our fire chief to fund additional firefighters.
