The Collingwood Legion is one of the sites for an advance poll and according to Election Canada rules, no candidate is permitted to place a sign on or near the site of any polling station. Candidates are also not permitted to hand-out or leave campaign material at a polling station.
I'm surprised that the election staff did not go out and remove the Leitch sign prior to opening up the advance polling station. Seems to me to be another example of Conservatives thinking that they can just do whatever they want when they want.
Until next time!
Do we really want to play the sign game ?
ReplyDeleteWhat sign game, she placed her sign in front of a polling station which is illegal under Election Canada laws. However this would not be the first time that a Conservative has broken Election Canada laws now is it.
ReplyDeleteNonny #2 who is the "she" that you are referring to?
ReplyDeleteLook at the picture...Ok maybe Leitch did not take the sign out of her van and hammer in the stakes, but it was someone on her team that did it.
ReplyDeleteNonny #2/#4 how do you know for a fact that it was someone on the team that placed the sign there? The last comment that you wrote you were claiming "she placed her sign" and now you admit your lie.
ReplyDeletelmfao come on! Can't find anything better to rant on in your blogosphere than a sign?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Dr. Leitch had that in mind when she hammered it into the ground herself. Oh wait, it wasn't her was it.... a mistake by a volunteer that was rectified as soon as it was pointed out.
Is there something that you have that is a valid debate other than sign misplacement?
Nonny, maybe a Liberal operative went into Leitch's Campaign office which is just down the street from the legion, asked for a big sign, then took it and placed it in front of a polling station to make her look bad.
ReplyDeleteLeitch is still not ready for prime time. She's a parachute candidate, and this riding does not like a parachute candidate. So after this election the good doctor can pack up her doctors bag and head back to Rosedale.
