I'm back and eager to go!

Well after taking a bit of time off to deal with some family issues, I'm back and ready to give my views on politics in our riding of Simcoe Grey.
Well the Federal Election in a way was a trainwreck for the Liberals, and a shock for the NDP. I never would have guessed that the NDP would come in  2nd in our riding, and the Liberals 4th. Well that's the past and at least we don't have to worry about a federal election for the next 4 years. Hopefully the Conservatives will do a somewhat good job, and look out for the middle class.
Well now let's focus on the upcoming Provincial Election and the battle for Simcoe Grey. Most likely Jim Wilson will take this riding again, but his percentage will finally drop below the 50% mark. It won't be as a result of the Liberals, but it will be a result of the Green Party. Yes I predict that 2nd place will be between the Greens and the NDP with the Liberals having their worst showing since the 1990's.
So to answer some questions and e-mails I've been receiving lately...I'm NOT going to seek the Liberal nomination in Simcoe Grey. Yes I ran in 2007 and I did believe in what the Liberals used to stand for, but over the past 2 years I just can't believe what they have done with all the tax increases or should I say "Fees".
The PC's are no better in this regard as they will cut services, they will do what they did from 1996-2003. Like Dalton lies, the PC's have a problem with cutting services and downloading services to our towns and cities. It's not a Mike Harris thing it's just in their nature to screw the little guy to benefit the rich and our biggest corporations. They are more like the GOP in the United States then the Federal Conservatives are. If Harper was the President of the United States he would be a Democrat. The Conservatives and the PC's are too very different political parties.
So over the next little I will be posting more information on our local candidates, and the PC and Greens have selected their Candidates, but the NDP and Liberals have not. However I suspect that Katy Austin will carry the NDP banner again, and the Liberals will get some sucker into running and having him/her ranked over the coals at each debate and town hall meeting.
Until next time!
