Well I've been selected to be the Toronto Star Community Blogger for the riding of Simcoe Grey. My task will be to report on the upcoming Provincial election, and provide an un-biased view of the election in our riding.
Now I'm sure most of you have already fallen off your chair thinking how on earth can I ever be un-biased in my reporting given that I've attacked the Conservative party with a vengence at every turn. Well it will be my intention, and promise to you that I will give equal time and equal exposure to each and every candidate. I will only report on each candidates platform, how they perform at the debates. I will leave it up to you, the voter to come to your own conclusions on the candidates.
As part of the selection process, each applicant had to disclose if they are currently a member of any political party, and at this time I'm only a member of the Federal Liberal Party. I joined just prior to the Federal election because my friend Alex Smardenka was the candidate. I was a member of the Provincial and Federal Green Party, but never renewed my membership.
I'll keep everyone informed as to where they should look for my postings, once I receive the information from the Toronto Star.
