Paging Dr. Leitch!

 In a landslide victory, Dr. Kellie Leitch will be the poll bearer for the Conservatives in Simcoe Grey for the spring 2011 election. Chris Carrier the former Mayor of Collingwood, and well known Twitter blocker lost by a 3 to 1 margin, and the other guy was not that far behind Carrier.

While I've never met Dr. Leitch, I hear from my Conservative friends that she's a good person, and I'm sure that she is. The race in Simcoe Grey for the first time since before the merger of the PC's and the Reformers will be a very close race. While my Conservative friends will say that Helena Guergis will have no effect on the outcome of the Conservative vote in this riding, I disargee with that logic as the Guergis clan has deep roots in Simcoe Grey, and the fact that the Prime Minister tossed her under the bus for no reason will have a very negative effect on the Conservative vote in our riding.

Dr. Leitch will be fighting on several fronts including fighting a fellow Conservative, Helena Guergis. I'm quite sure that the Leitch camp will use the line "A vote for Helena Guergis is a vote for Alex Smardenka, the Liberal Candidate". So for voters who support and campaign for their candidate of choice, I hope you enjoy the next 36 plus days as it will be a fun ride. Voting dayis now set for Monday May 2nd, 2011.
