Liberals finally have a candidate

Talk about waiting for the last minute to get your candidate in place. As announced on madhunt.com the Liberals will be running a candidate in Simcoe Grey.

Donna Kenwell who's the President of the Barrie riding association will carry the banner for the Liberals in Simcoe Grey. She's the one on the left...No pun intended..



Donna lives in Elmvale and sits on several local boards in Springwater. With Jim Wilson always campaigning, Mike Schreiner the leader of the Ontario Green Party announcing last year that he would be running in Simcoe Grey, and David Matthews winning the NDP nomination last month we now have a full slate from all the major parties.

As the former candidate for the Liberals in 2007 I do wish her the best of luck, and she will need it. The Liberals have written off Simcoe Grey, and she will get little to no help from the local riding association which at last count only had 3 people on their executive. I predict that she will get about 15% of the vote if she's lucky. She's not known in the south end of the riding and for a person who lives in Elmvale one has to question why she's the President of the Barrie riding association?
